Message du TCV

Voici un message de la responsable des parrainages du TCV, reçu le 19 mars, quelques jours avant le confinement général imposé par le gouvernement indien.

Dear Friends,

I hope everyone is doing well. We are very much concerned with the health and well-being of our friends, sponsors, and everyone with the outbreak of Covid-19 virus. Please be safe and protected.

TCV is taking utmost precaution against the pandemic. TCV schools remained closed until the end of April as a precautionary measure against infection and spread of the disease. Most of the children having family or relatives sent back home. We do understand that it is becoming increasingly difficult to move around especially families from remote areas. Therefore, few of the children are still at the children's village because they come from very far away and their family could not come to take them back. For these children TCV is taking good care to protect them against disease.

The state government too has issued directives to close down schools. However, TCV has closed down the school before the state government acted and issued the directives. TCV management will review the situation in April and will act accordingly.

As Covid-19's outbreak gets worse, please stay safe. We convey our gratitude to all our dear sponsors and send you our wishes for good health.
